for the birds. literally.
my kids have an amazing interest in
nature. everyday we stop to look at
ant hills, worms, and june bugs.
but their very favorite is checking on the
birds nest that rests in our japanese
maple just below their bedroom windows.
to offer miss robin more space,
my kids painted two small wooden
birdhouses and hung them on either
side of the nest.
miss robin hasn't moved into either.
i think she is waiting for this.
modeled after vintage campers of the '40's
and 50's, these retro bird houses offer
a slide out bottom for easy cleaning and
are made of aluminum, marine grade
plywood, and exterior oil based paint
to protect little birdies from
the harshest of environments.
plus, they look super cool.
enjoy!
