i remember shopping at kmart with my

grandma, holding onto the promise that,

if i behave, i would be rewarded with

a pinwheel of my choice.

i can still feel my excitement at blowing

the pinwheel, making the multi color

beauty of it spin round and round.

and now my kids will know

my childhood feeling.
